 2026 AUDI RS5 SEDAN & AVANT – OFFICIALLY UNVEILED

The curtain has finally fallen. Audi has officially revealed the brand-new 2026 RS5 Sedan & Avant.

This marks a major milestone: it is the first-ever plug-in hybrid Audi RS model. Power output rises to an impressive 639 horsepower — significantly beyond the outgoing 450 hp RS4/RS5 generation.

However, electrification comes at a cost.

The hybrid system increases total weight to approximately 2.3 tons — around 450 kg heavier than before. As a result, despite the substantial increase in power, acceleration to 100 km/h remains similar at 3.6 seconds.

Key figures:

• 639 hp plug-in hybrid system
• First PHEV in the RS lineup
• Approx. 2,300 kg curb weight
• 0–100 km/h in 3.6 seconds

The RS legacy continues to evolve — blending electrification with traditional performance DNA.

 FERRARI LUCE – INTERIOR REVEALED

Ferrari has unveiled the interior of its first fully electric model, the Ferrari Luce.

While exterior visuals remain limited, the interior has already generated strong reactions across the automotive world. Designed under the creative direction of Sir Jony Ive, the cabin introduces a minimalist, technology-forward approach that represents a bold shift from Ferrari’s traditional cockpit layout.

Performance specifications include:

• Four electric motors
• Front dual-motor axle producing 282 hp combined
• Rear dual motors producing 831 hp combined
• Boost mode output: 986 hp
• 0–60 mph in under 2.5 seconds
• 193 mph top speed
• 122 kWh high energy-density battery

Ferrari’s electric era has officially begun — and it is making a strong statement.

 MERCEDES-AMG CLE V8 – MYTHOS SERIES

Mercedes-AMG has teased a potential V8 variant of the popular CLE AMG, possibly under a limited-production “Mythos” series.

Under the hood, expectations point toward the new M177 EVO 4.0L Twin-Turbo Flat-Plane Crank V8 paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system.

Projected figures suggest:

• 4.0L Twin-Turbo Flat-Plane V8
• 48V mild-hybrid system
• 600–650+ horsepower in Mythos configuration

If confirmed, this could become one of the final true V8 AMG coupes in an increasingly electrified era.

REGULATORY DEVELOPMENTS – U.S. EPA STANDARDS

Recent regulatory changes in the United States have removed federal emissions standards previously covering 2012–2027 vehicles.

While this represents a significant policy shift, immediate impact for consumers is expected to remain limited. Most manufacturers have already committed to electrification strategies globally.

However, it raises an interesting question:

As Europe continues accelerating electrification mandates, could we eventually see US-market internal combustion models pushing performance boundaries further than their European counterparts?

The performance landscape is evolving rapidly.
